The (Gregorian) date 02022020 was a special day. Many sponsor parents have chosen to spend this day at ACC to celebrate the Spring Festival with Venerable Hui Li.

Although there were reports of Covid 19 cases during that period, it did not affect attendance at the event.  The event began with a prayer led by Venerable Hui Li, where he prayed that the Covid 19 virus would be conquered soon, people’s fears would be alleviated and eliminated, and to live and work in peace and contentment.

Next, President of ACC Singapore Colin Goh gave us an update on the latest development of the ACC campuses in Africa, a review of the events organized by the Singapore ACC in 2019 and a preview of the events happening in 2020.

It is worth mentioning that, in 2019, ACC Singapore submitted well written articles published in  “Love Chinese” periodical to the Second Creative Writing Competition for overseas Chinese youth and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Youth.  The competition was jointly organized by the United Front Department of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Provincial Returned Overseas Chinese Federation and Jiangsu Phoenix Publishing Media Group Co., Ltd. Among more than 10000 entries from 46 countries, submissions ACC Singapore were awarded 10 first prizes, 24 second prizes and 7 commendation awards. The results were very encouraging.

The moment everyone was looking for was the games segment and lucky draw!   The joyous atmosphere in the room make everybody temporarily forget the challenging times one was in.
