The ACC Youth Group was at Willing Hearts yesterday (22 9) to help with the preparation of packed meals for distribution to the less privileged in various parts of Singapore. Willing Hearts, a local charity, prepares 5000-6000 packed meals throughout the year, and delivers the hot meals to the needy people in Singapore, most of whom are the elderly living alone in the community.

A total of 15 people participated in this event. The ACC Youth Team members also brought along their children and friends to the event. When they arrived at the Willing Hearts kitchen, there were already volunteers of diverse nationalities busy with tasks such as cutting and washing vegetables, delivering food supplies etc.   From 8.30 am to 12 noon, everyone was busy but cordial during the 3.5-hour food preparation.

For that Sunday, the ACC Youth Team members felt that it was a meaningful day! The activity not only help the less privileged, but also had the opportunity to meet new people.   Regardless of background, everyone took the initiative to complete his assigned tasks.  Deeply moved!
